Option 1:

Enclosed Balcony Transformation Process

 

Conditions Using Option 1 (scenario 1) 

Family Composition:

Seniors or families with children

Resident Needs:

① Residents hope to play a preventive role to prevent children from falling

off the balcony

② Residents hope to block the invasion of sand, dust and rain, so as to

facilitate the cleaning of the elderly

③ In the case of relatively tense living conditions, it is hoped that the closed

balcony can be used as a space for writing and reading, storage of items,

and fitness exercise.

Option 2:

Open Balcony

 

Conditions using option 2 (scenario 2) 

Family Composition:

young people family

Resident Needs:

① Residents hope that the light can enter the room

directly, so that the room has good lighting

② Residents want to breathe fresh and natural air

③ Residents hope to have opportunities close to

nature and can grow plants.

④ Residents want to have open space for family

activities and interaction between neighbors.
